Lopez was brought to the United States by his parents when he was 6-weeks-old, and until August when he was deported, did not know of his illegal status. After being deported to Mexico, Lopez was targeted by locals who didn't like his American ways. He hardly speaks Spanish. Lopez came back to the United States in October 2010 to plea reasonable fear. He was held in a detention center in Arizona until late December, when he was allowed to fly home for Christmas. He is still under the watchful eye of ICE, and has many more court dates to attend before he knows what his future will be.
